"No man is an island"

“No man is an island, No man stands alone, and each man's joy is joy to me, each man's grief is my own.” This phrase is taken from the Song “No man is an island” sang by Joan Baez. When I heard this song; so many questions come into my mind. How does this phrase relate to education? Does it affect teachers? Does it affect students? Yes, Yes! So what is the answer? The answer can depend on many factors. What can does factors be? How do we see Education? How can we help our students? More questions! But you have to seek for you own answer.

How can we help our students? We have to prepare our students for life. Learning does not stop after they graduate from school or university. Learning is a life long process. That means we have to provide our students with skills, which focus on larger concepts, principles, or processes. How can we do that? We as teacher have to begin to think out of the box. What ours students needs? Another question! They need teachers who are willing to go the extra mile.

Why? 0r Why not? Apply new tools to learn English. That has been the question wondering in my mind for a while. If you do not take risk in life you will never get the experience of learning….I have also wonder if my students like English, if they dislike using English book and if they dislike their English teacher. So what can I do to change all that! I decided to take a risk, and learn something new.

I finally did it! I enrolled in the course Web 2.0.This will be my new adventure to learn new tools and to applied in class with my students. I will keep you post it.
